NEW YEAR EXPERIENCES

If you haven’t decided what your New Year’s resolution is yet, may I suggest less toys and more experiences for your little ones? Experiences help your kids build a solid foundation of happy memories so below is just a few activities that I think you and your family will love!

RAINFOREST CAFÉ

Designed to replicate an exotic jungle with the sights and sounds of the Amazon rainforest, the Rainforest Café is a spectacular dining experience which enables your children’s imagination to run wild. Watch as tropical showers, cascading waterfalls and periodic thunderstorms happen all around you as you indulge in their extensive menu of American and International cuisine.

HIDDEN LONDON

If you have exhausted all of the most popular sights of the city but still want to take your family on an educational trip around London, then make sure you visit London’s Hidden tours run by The London Transport Museum. Nose around a deep-level World War II shelter or visit the exact place where Prime Minister Winston Churchill held cabinet war meetings and took refuse during the blitz. However be advised, there is a wait list, so if this is something that interest you, make sure you plan in advance.

MUSICALS

Rather than buying DVD’s or putting your kids in front of the TV, immerse your loved ones into an all-singing, all-dancing, must-see musical… The Lion King, guaranteed to delight audiences of all ages! The Lion King tells the story of Simba, an adventurous and energetic lion cub who is next in line to be king of the Pride Lands, a thriving and beautiful region in the African savanna.

STICKY FINGERS

For something a little different, take your family to a restaurant born to legendary Rolling Stones rocker Bill Wyman, whose idea of a perfect restaurant is a haven of good food and even better times. Clad from floor to ceiling with key pieces and vintage items spanning Bill’s career and a selection of his guitars on display, Sticky Fingers is the perfect place to get your hands a little messy listening to great music.

ZIPPOS CIRCUS: LEGACY TOUR

For something a little more exciting, this year the Zippos Circus celebrates 250 years! Expect a spectacle like no other as extraordinary equestrians, astonishing acrobats, comic clowns and dashing daredevils join together in the ring to pay homage to Englishman Philip Astley, who invented the worldwide sensation that is circus in 1768.

Performances are showing throughout April on Shooters Hill Road Blackheath, where the World’s greatest ringmaster will present thrills and laughter for all the family, all inside a colourful and comfortable circus Big Top!

EASTER AT ZSL

You may think it’s a little early to start thinking about Easter, but this way you can be organised without the hassle of looking yourself. ZSL London Zoo are creating an Easter-themed adventure with a spectacular Easter egg hunt and a special event that will be revealed in the spring time! So keep your whole family entertained this year with an experience to remember.

ROYAL GARDEN HOTEL

With Kensington Gardens and three world-class museums in walking distance, the Royal Garden hotel's location makes it the perfect base for a family break. And with their Family-Friendly promise they strive to make your children feel right at home from the moment they arrive; with toys and game to enjoy, micro-scooters for the park and a wigwam play tent set up in their room.
